Regina Hall (51), Amy Schumer (40) and Wanda Sykes (57) will host the 94th Academy Awards this year, taking place on March 27th. The report “Variety” and “The Hollywood Reporter” unanimously. Since 2018, the film awards ceremony has had no moderators. According to The Hollywood Reporter, up to three people led the show 35 years ago.
The trio are set to bring new momentum to the show, which has seen ratings plummet in recent years. In order to get more people excited about Hollywood’s traditionally most important evening, the Oscar Academy hired a new producer: Will Packer (47). He is said to have met with a number of potential hosts over the past few weeks.
Three big stars on stage
With the three presenters, Packer has hired experienced actresses: Amy Schumer has already received numerous nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award and won the award for her successful format “Inside Amy Schumer”. She is also known from “Girls”, “Dating Queen” or “Girls’ Strip”.
Regina Hall starred in the Scary Movie films. The actress also celebrated successes with “Girls Trip” and “The Hate U Give”, among others. Emmy Award winner Wanda Sykes rose to fame on The Chris Rock Show. She was also seen in the films “Bad Moms” and “Girls Strip”.
