The launch of the Poco M4 Pro 5G India was teased by Poco India on Twitter. The Chinese brand posted a series of tweets suggesting the launch of a smartphone in the country. He highlighted the number ‘4’ in these posts, and each tweet is teasing a different feature or design of the handset that matches those of the Poco M4 Pro 5G that launched in global markets in November. It is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 5G that debuted in China in October.
At the last tweet From its handle, Poco India teased the design of the upcoming smartphone, saying it has “killer looks from all 4 corners”. Other tweet briefly shows the design of the rear camera, the third shows a smartphone with a centered punch screen and the fourth tweet tips for a powerful SoC. All these tweets show a handset with the same look and feel as the Poco M4 Pro 5G.
Meanwhile, whistleblower Yogesh Brar has shared the specs of the alleged Poco M4 Pro. tweet from Brar, the Poco M4 Pro (or Poco M4 Pro 5G) will have a 6.6-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz display and will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC. It should offer several variants with a combination of 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of storage.
The rear camera of the Indian Poco M4 Pro variant is said to come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front there may be a 16-megapixel shooter. The phone will come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will run MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, have a 3.5mm port and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
These specs are identical to the Poco M4 Pro 5G that launched in global markets in November. It may be possible that the India variant will receive some minor spec changes, but details about it are still known.
