This office intends to clarify the main doubts that are transmitted to us by Pplware readers and visitors, in all platforms, places and addresses where we are already represented.

The choice of questions is made in such a way that as many topics as possible are covered and those that we find most relevant and interesting are presented.

The answers presented reflect our understanding and intend to present possible solutions. However, we count on our readers to complement, enrich or even contrast them, so that they are as rich and complete as possible.

To continue this section, we chose some more questions that were received in the official email of Consultório Pplware.

Which of these 2 HP laptops would you recommend me to buy?

Hello. Thanks again for your work.

I'm undecided on the choice between two pcs. The HP Pavilion Aero Laptop 13-be0000np and the HP Pavilion Aero Laptop 13-be1000np.

I would like to know which one is better, in what and if the price difference between them is justified.

Thank you very much.

Luís,

In fact, the models are quite identical, but one was released after the other, so the latest one (13-be1000np) includes a slight improvement: it brings the AMD Ryzen 7 5825U CPU instead of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U. The 5825U has a base clock speed of 2.0GHz (versus 1.9GHz) and is apparently a CPU that heats up slightly less than the previous one, although the architecture and all the construction details are identical (I'd say it's questionable information, only testing could confirm).

There is another difference between the models, which is the Windows version: the older one has Windows 10 Home, the latest one already has Windows 11 Home… but the upgrade from 10 to 11 is free. There are places that also mention a little more autonomy for the latest model, but I couldn't confirm this information from the manufacturer, nor the battery capacity, so it may also be inaccurate information.

In short, although I don't know the price difference from the place where you saw it, I wouldn't give more than 30 € for the most recent one, considering what differs between the models.

Which SSD do you recommend me to buy for the PS5?

Hello,

Goodnight,

I would like to ask you a question,

I purchased a Playstation 5 console and in the future I will want to upgrade an Internal SSD storage and I would like to know which one you advise me?

Because I've been investigating and the SSD has to have several specifications that Sony dictated. Some SSDs have their own heatsink but I don't know if it's mandatory to have them, that's why I'm asking you this question.

For me the only requirement that it must have is that it be an SSD with a capacity equal to or greater than 2TB.

Thank you very much for your attention,

Hope you can help me with this question

Yours sincerely,

Samuel Machado

Samuel,

Sony is really clear on this SSD expansion drive situation. Everything is described on the pt-pt page, not only in terms of specifications but also in terms of assembly:

Basically you need a drive with an M.2 socket, with the possibility of different sizes (length), specifically 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110. It must have NVMe technology and be PCIe Gen4x4. The heatsink already included is recommended, as models that don't have heatsink usually have a sticker on the chips, so the dissipation is not as efficient.

I don't recommend any specific model or brand, but models like the WD_BLACK SN850, Samsung 980 PRO or even the Crucial P5 Plus will be great options.

Can I buy a PC without an operating system?

Greetings to all and congratulations to the Pplware team for their good work and dedication.

I ask for help with the following question:

It is normal and frequent to find computers for sale that already have a Microsoft operating system installed, currently Windows 10 or Windows 11.

Since these operating systems are paid, I ask if buyers have the right to ask stores to only sell the hardware part and therefore not be charged any amount for the operating system.

If they have this right, I ask how to proceed with the store.

If they don't, and they are forced to buy the computer with Windows, I ask if the purchasers void the warranty by erasing the disk and installing something else there (for example, Free DOS, a NAS server, the ESXi hypervisor, a Linux distribution, a Windows XP, 7 or 8, etc.)

Thanks.

Best regards,

Nuno Duarte

Nuno,

At one point, roughly 10 years ago, there were some successful cases in obtaining a refund of the OEM license fee, based on non-acceptance of Microsoft's EULA terms. However, there were changes in this aspect (in favor of Microsoft) and it is no longer legally possible.

As for changing your computer's operating system, yes, you can do so without affecting the warranty. It is software, and in any case, if disk space is not really an issue, my recommendation is that you leave the recovery partition and the boot partitions intact, not exactly to safeguard a guarantee, but to safeguard against the possibility of wanting to use Windows again, and then it may be difficult to have all the drivers and everything properly installed as it comes from the manufacturer.

Also remember that this computer may be useful to someone else, or you may even decide to sell it.

Can I count on more updates on the Huawei P10 lite?

Hello Pplware,

How can I get Huawei P10 lite update support

Mateus Torres

Reply:

Mateus,

Unfortunately, this Huawei smartphone has already received all the official updates that the brand had to offer. Remember that this smartphone is already a few years old and as such is already discontinued by the brand.

So, there won't be any support for updates for your Huawei P10 lite. The version of EMIU that is present should be the one you will need to use in the future.

What is wrong with my WiFi card? And how do I solve it?

The wifi network disappears,…like not having a wifi card,….in the network troubleshooting it says it cannot find the problem.

Resolution is to reset the network,…I restart the pc nothing changes,…What can I do??

Thanks

Nuno,

Probably the problem you have on your PC can have two origins. One of them is more complicated to solve and the other is a little simpler.

We leave here a question that you will have to confirm with whoever manages the network. Is this network you are trying to detect not being advertised only at 5Ghz and the card is limited to 2.4Ghz?

More likely, there is a problem with the WiFi card drivers, which causes the card to not work properly.

What we recommend is that you check the chipset on the card and look for the correct drivers. You can also access the manufacturer's website and try to find the drivers you need there.
