PUBG: New State announced a partnership with Rimac, maker of electric hypercars and components. Krafton’s battle royale game will soon receive a Rimac electric hypercar. According to the teaser shared by Krafton, the next EV hypercar to arrive at PUBG: New State will likely be the Rimac Nevera. Earlier this month, Krafton also released a new map for PUBG: New State and some major updates for 2022, as well as some goodies to celebrate the new year.
Through a teaser video shared on YouTube, Krafton showed that PUBG: New State will soon receive a new vehicle. Rimac Nevera will be available to players on the Troi map, but it hasn’t mentioned when players will be able to drive the car in the game. As of now, the hypercar specs in the game are unknown.
Rimac Nevera is the Croatian hypercar and component manufacturer’s second vehicle. In the real world, the two-seater electric hypercar is fed by a 120 kWh battery that produces 1,914 hp with 13,430 Nm of torque at the wheels and is capable of reaching a maximum of 412 km/h. Powered by four independent electric motors – one on each wheel – it can reach 0-100 km/h in 1.93 seconds. It also has a claimed range of 550 kilometers.
Earlier this month, Krafton sparked a new map by sharing three images that gave us a glimpse of things to come. The map appears to have a mix of plains and hills, as well as modern buildings and a central city tower. The release date of the map has not yet been confirmed.
In addition, PUBG: New State is also expected to receive its first batch of major updates in the first two months of 2022. Krafton mentioned that his top priorities in 2022 will be to “keep making updates and improvements” to meet expectations.
“We also want to assure all our global survivors the best service and gaming experience, regardless of location or device,” added Krafton.
As part of its New Years celebrations, Krafton will present players with six chicken medals and three tickets to royal chests. Players have received the coupon code “HAPPYNEWSTATE” which can be redeemed for in-game virtual gifts. New Year celebrations are valid until January 10th at 23:59 IST.
