Realme has announced the launch in India of its new Realme 9i smartphoneThe device features the Snapdragon 680 chip, the 90Hz screen, the large 5,000mAh battery and support for technology that allows you to expand the RAM memory to up to 11GB.
According to the specifications released by Realme, the new smartphone has a 6.6-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2412 x 1080), density of 401 pixels per inch, refresh rate of up to 90Hz, touch sampling rate of 180Hz and 480 nits brightness.
Realme 9i is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip with eight cores and Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage capacity based on the UFS (Universal Flash Storage) 2.1 standard, microSD card slot with up to 1TB of capacity and the large 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. THE model with 6GB also supports the technology Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) and allows you to expand the RAM memory up to 11GB using part of the internal storage as virtual memory. In the 4GB model it is possible to get an additional 3GB of virtual RAM using this technology.

The camera set of the new Realme smartphone consists of a 16MP front camera with f/2.1 aperture and three rear cameras – the main 50MP with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, the 2MP macro with f/2.4 aperture and plus a 2MP with f/2.4 aperture for depth detection.
The Realme 9i camera suite supports features like night mode, panoramic mode, time-lapse recording, portrait mode, AI-based beautification mode, slow motion recording, HDR and more. For video recording it supports HD (720p) and Full HD (1080p) resolutions – no 4K.

The device’s connectivity options include support for 4G LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Other features include fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and more. The operating system is Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

According to Realme, the Realme 9i smartphone will be available in India in black and blue from the 22nd of January through the company’s online store and authorized retailers for 13,999 rupees (US$187) for the model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and for 15,999 rupees ($214) for the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
