The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition specs have been dropped again. The insider shared that the upcoming gaming-oriented smartphone will have a 6.67-inch screen, dual VC cooling system, and gaming shoulder triggers. Furthermore, another insider also shared that the upcoming Redmi K50 series will have at least three models – vanilla Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. Furthermore, the insider also mentioned that Redmi is developing a few more smartphones but its marketing moniker is not yet known.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition specs (expected)
Tipster Panda is bald (translated) shared some main specifications of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The gaming-oriented smartphone is said to have a flexible 6.67-inch Huaxing display with a narrow chin. It is said to come with a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. For optics, the Redmi smartphone will have a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel or 64-megapixel primary sensor. Other camera lenses are said to have 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, it may have a 16-megapixel selfie sensor.
The insider mentions that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition can also get dual VC cooling system, gaming shoulder triggers, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is said to measure 162×76.8×8.45mm and weigh 210 grams. The informant also mentioned the possibility of another Redmi K50 Gaming Edition variant with a less powerful chipset compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
Another informant, Digital Chat Station, shared that the Redmi K50 series will have three models – vanilla Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. All these models also get side-mounted fingerprint sensors. However, there is a possibility that one of the smartphones in the Redmi K50 series will receive an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Redmi is also working on new smartphones, according to the insider. Redmi L16 and Redmi L16U are currently in testing. Furthermore, the Xiaomi sub-brand is also working on the Redmi L19, which is said to be an entry-level smartphone with 4G connectivity and a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.
