Redmi Note 11S is tipped to show off an AMOLED screen ahead of India launch

The Redmi Note 11S smartphone has been part of leaks and rumors for a few weeks now. The specifications of the Redmi Note 11S have not yet been officially confirmed by the Chinese smartphone brand. But before that, an insider hinted at the display details of the upcoming Redmi Note series phone. Recently, Redmi India and Xiaomi’s Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain teased the launch of the smartphone in India on Twitter. The phone will not reach the Chinese market. The Redmi Note 11S is expected to feature a quad rear camera unit topped by a 108-megapixel primary sensor.

The display details of the upcoming Redmi Note 11S handset have been published by famous informant Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) on Twitter. According to the leak, the Redmi Note 11S may feature an AMOLED panel. The official Twitter handle of Redmi India he responded to the tweet saying, “We set high standards with Redmi Note releases in 2021. Why will 2022 be any different?”. Based on that, it’s safe to speculate that the company will likely provide an AMOLED panel on the latest handset. However, the brand has not yet shared details of the Redmi Note 11S specifications.

The launch of the Redmi Note 11S was recently teased by Redmi India and Xiaomi’s Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain on Twitter.

Furthermore, alleged Redmi Note 11S renders have leaked online. Leaked renders suggest that the smartphone will have a quad rear camera unit. The device should come with a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel Omnivision OV2A macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Redmi Note 11S is said to have a perforated display with a centrally aligned cutout and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Note 11S is also said to be powered by a MediaTek SoC.

The device has been previously seen on various certification sites. It was previously seen on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website with model number 220111TSI, hinting at an imminent launch in India. The Redmi Note 11S has also been spotted on the websites of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) with similar model numbers.
