THE National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) updated the List of Approved 5G Cell Phones. The first list was published in December on Anatel’s portal and can be accessed clicking on this link. The list contains information such as the model, trade name and manufacturer of the devices. It will now be possible to obtain updated information, with data processed up to the day before the survey. The information is obtained directly from Anatel’s database and is automatically updated.

Galaxy S22 line is already approved

The updated list already contains some models that will be launched soon, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 it’s the Motorola Edge 30 Pro (already sold in China as Edge X30). Those smartphones are not advertised with the commercial name, but only with the alphanumeric name of the models. SM-S908E/DS is the Galaxy S22 Ultra, SM-S906E/DS or S22 Plus and the SM-S901E/DS the S22 basic. These models indicate that the Samsung will launch the line Galaxy S22 in Brazil with the SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The XT2201-1 and the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. Another model of a great brand that appears without the commercial name is the iPhone 13 Pro Max (A2643). But it’s already been released and the lack of its name may have just been a forgetting of the Anatel.

Only telecommunications products approved by the Agency can be used in Brazil. The user must, therefore, check the list of approved cell phones before purchasing a device. The consumer must also verify the presence of the Anatel approval seal, located on the equipment or in the manual, and can consult the operator about the compatibility of the product with the network.

Certification and approval guarantee the consumer the acquisition and use of telecommunication products that respect quality and safety standards, in addition to meeting the technical functionalities regulated by Anatel that aim at the efficient and rational use of the radioelectric spectrum, electromagnetic compatibility and non-aggression to the environment.
