Released by Samsung last December in Europethe new Galaxy Tab A8 tablet is now officially available in the Brazilian market and can be a good option for those who want a tablet to study or work thanks to the improved performance compared to the Galaxy Tab A7 launched in 2020.

Samsung has confirmed that the new tablet features a 10.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) with a design that uses thin bezels to maximize the screen area. In addition, the Galaxy Tab A8 launched in Brazil comes equipped with a processor with eight cores operating at a frequency of 2GHz, but the company’s announcement does not mention exactly which processor is used.

The model available in the Brazilian market is offered with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, microSD card slot with up to 1TB of capacity and a 7,040mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. To make a comparison, the model available in Europe is offered in versions with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of capacity for internal storage. The battery is the same in the Brazilian model and in the European model.

Other features of this model include stereo speakers, support for Dolby Atmos sound, Multi Active Window feature, which allows the user to use more than one application at the same time (up to three), the Drag and Split feature, which allows the user to drag a link from the open browser to the side and thus open the website in another window, Samsung Kids, which is a platform that offers content for children with a focus on education and leisure, Parental Control, for parents to make sure that their children do not access inappropriate content, and enhanced security by the Samsung Knox platform. The operating system is Android 11, but it can be upgraded to Android 12 and Android 13.
