Introduced at CES 2022, the new portable projector The Freestyle gives Samsung promises to deliver video and audio content to users anywhere that has a surface available for playback. The device has already been successful in the markets of North America, Latin America and South Korea since its official launch. Now, global product orders have already surpassed the mark of 10 thousand units on pre-sale.
Firstly, the Samsung device started taking pre-orders in the US on January 4th. Soon after, the company made the projector available in Korea, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. According to communiqué of the brand, The Freestyle is succeeding because of its “easy and instant setup” features.
Speaking about the product, Samsung Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business Simon Sung revealed: “The Freestyle offers new levels of functionality and reflects how users are spending their time, allowing them to enjoy high-quality viewing wherever they are. whatever they are, regardless of spatial limitations.”
“We plan to continue introducing innovative lifestyle displays like The Freestyle to meet the demands of users who want stellar viewing experiences that are also flexible and convenient.” concluded Sung.
Samsung’s The Freestyle details

In addition to its USB-C cable connection, The Freestyle is compatible with Android and iOS mobile devices, playing FHD 1080p images at up to 100 inches from a distance of up to 2.7 meters. Designed for a young audience, the equipment is capable of transmitting quality images on surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings.
The South Korean brand’s new portable projector weighs 830 grams, allowing the user to carry it in the hand, just like a traditional Bluetooth speaker. With Smart connection through Samsung’s Tizen platform, the device can rotate up to 180 degrees and has 360 degree sound. The projector also has built-in streaming services and can be used as an ambient light effect with the aid of its translucent lens cap.
Projector will be launched in Brazil
The device is already available in the main markets of the world. In Europe, for example, the value is €999.99 (more than R$ 6 thousand). Samsung also confirmed that in addition to the projector, the Bespoke refrigerator and the Jet Bot AI+ vacuum robot will arrive in brazilian stores still in 2022, however, has not yet released a forecast for the releases.
