Samsung to announce Galaxy S22 line on February 8

The South Korean website DDaily released the supposed announcement date of the line Galaxy S22, new family of Samsung high-end smartphones. According to the website, the manufacturer will disclose the new S22 on February 8, in the first edition of the Samsung Unpacked 2022. The pre-sale of the new cell will be the next day, February 9th, with deliveries and sales starting on the 24th of the same month.

Galaxy S22 present at WMC 2022?

A source at DDaily reported that invitations to the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 will be delivered from the end of January, even with the event being held virtually. It is unclear whether some journalists will be selected for a first hands on (first contact with smartphone) at launch. However, it is planned for the end of February the World Mobile Congress 2022, starting on the 28th of February in Barcelona. This event could be the first opportunity for journalists to look at the product for the first time. But if the growth in cases of Covid-19, pushed by the Omicron variant, continue in Europe, the event may be cancelled.

What to expect from the Galaxy S22

THE Galaxy S22 will debut at GPU made in partnership with the OMG at the Exynos 2200 processor. With this novelty, the smartphone will have ray tracing technology. However, some markets (such as the United States, Canada, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan) may receive the mobile phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. In Brazil, the S21 received the Exynos 2100 processor.

In terms of cameras, the top of the line S22 Ultra will have a 108 MP main lens with SuperClear technology. The rest of the triple set is formed by a 12 MP ultra wide and two 10 MP teles: one with 3x zoom and the other 10x. And no charger in the box! The other versions, S22 and S22 Plus, will have the 50 MP main lens. The model Ultra there will also be a reduction in RAMs: now there will only be the option of 8 GB or 12 GB.
