Netflix is said to have a total of 76,000 additional categories for films and series. But be careful: You can only unlock the genres that are not normally displayed if you visit the streaming service via your browser. This is done by entering the secret Netflix code in the address bar.
Secret Netflix codes: how to use them
- Go to the URL https://www.netflix.com/browse/.
- Sign in and select your profile.
- Add “genre/” and one of the numbers below to the end of the above URL, for example “https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/75405″.
Once you have made your entry, click “Enter”. You will now be taken to the Netflix category that corresponds to the number. danger: You may get the error message “No matching titles found”. Then the corresponding category is not available in Germany. On the other hand, if you only see the name of the genre but an otherwise empty page, the category exists but no matching content.

Are the Netflix codes legal?
If you are now wondering whether it is even allowed to use the given number combination, then don’t worry. According to Netflix, “specifically changing the URL with codes,” as the service calls it, is not illegal. It does not violate the streaming service’s Terms of Service or other policies.
