The water stored in the reservoirs of the Ebro basin this week is 4,296 cubic hectometres, which represents 54.3% of the total capacity, according to the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation (CHE). In this way, in the last week the water volume of the basin has increased by 5.1 points.
In the same week of 2020, the situation in the basin was 5,017 cubic hectometres, 63.4% of its totality. In other words, the reservoirs have less accumulated water than the same week last year.
The average of the last five years, from 2016 to 2020, for this same week, was 4,660 cubic hectometres (59%). Currently, the average reserve of the last five years is not exceeded and is below the 2020 figure, but above the minimum, which occurred in 2017.
Likewise, for the right bank of the Ebro, the current reserve is 331 cubic hectometres, 52% of its capacity. A year ago, the situation in this area was 392 cubic hectometres (62%), while the average for the last five years was 288 cubic hectometres, 45% of the total.
