Privacy has never been a strong topic on Facebook and all the other services it offers. Problems and flaws appear recurrently, which are discovered only after the flaws are extensively explored.

One of the most recent news in this area pointed to the collection of information by Facebook whenever the internal browser of its apps was used. This can be easily countered by changing an option in your mobile apps. See how to have more privacy.

It was just a few days ago that it was revealed that Facebook probably collects all interactions that are performed on your browser. This is done by injecting JavaScript into the pages visited, without the user being able to control or counteract this process.

Of course, Meta refused these accusations and described this action only to collect statistical information about the use of this browser. Anyone who wants to protect themselves and have more privacy can do it, simply and quickly. Just activate a simple option.

As it could not be otherwise, this change will happen within from the app of Facebook dedicated to the smartphone. Just open this app and then choose the menu on the right side of the screen. This will give access to several options, choosing the cog that is on top.

In the new list that appears, scroll down to the middle of the various proposals until you find the Multimedia content option. It is now that they arrive at the option they are looking for and that they must look again in the list presented by the Facebook app.

It is then at the end of this list that you find the option Links open externally, which you must activate. This is immediately ready to be used, the links that are shared on Facebook being opened in the smartphone's standard browser.

By activating this option, which is simple and quick to do, they guarantee the privacy they are looking for. Facebook then stops monitoring usage and collecting user data, thus staying away from any problems or doubts.
