Amazon is finally delivering on a 2020 pledge to let Twitch viewers quickly play games on Luna. How The Nerf Reportin Bryant Chapel and 9to5Google In this report, Twitch added a “Play on Luna” button that lets you join games on Amazon’s cloud gaming service. If you are a Luna subscriber in the service’s early access program and have linked to your Twitch account, you will see the option to start playing titles available on the Amazon platform.

We asked Twitch for more details, such as platform support. The button appears only on a game’s general page, not on Twitch channels. You can forget to try Rainbow Six extraction while watching a favorite streamer, at least for now.

The addition will likely not spark much interest in Luna, given the effort involved in looking for her. However, this brings Luna closer to Amazon’s original vision of seamless integration with Twitch. Plus, it gives Amazon a slight edge over Stadia. Google has yet to fully link its own game streaming service to YouTube and only enabled Crowd Play (joining online games from a YouTube stream) in 2021. Don’t be surprised if Twitch expands access to ‘Play on Luna’ in the near future.
