THE Netflix released yesterday (07) a new trailer for its newest series Vikings: Valhalla. Showing a little bit of the plot, the second original preview of the production published by the platform through YouTube features scenes of epic and violent battles, with a focus on showing the rise of the Vikings.
Following a new story set 100 years after the events of vikings, the new production is a sequel to the original series, from 2013, which had 6 seasons. A news that can even more excite fans is that Michael Hirst is responsible for the development of Valhalla, the producer also worked on the famous series of Nordic browsers, which ended in 2020.
The series will focus mainly on the character Leif Eriksson (played by Sam Corlet) and the war known as the Saint Brice Day Massacre, during the 11th century, where the main clashes will unite the Vikings to fight against the English warriors. Cast and premiere date
In addition to Sam Corlett (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as the protagonist, the spin-off cast includes Laura Berlin (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead), Frida Gustavsson (Tigrar), Caroline Henderson (Vikings) and other actors already known to the public.
In addition to the second trailer, a Poster was also released by the streaming platform’s official Twitter account, revealing the series’ premiere date. Vikings: Valhalla opens next day February 25, 2022 exclusively in the Netflix catalogue.
