The smartphone market continues to grow, but it seems that we are in a period of stagnation of innovation. More component/less component, smartphones offer almost the same within the segment where they are classified.

But Vivo, with the X80 Pro “has taken it a step further” and we finally have a smartphone that “offers something more”.

Vivo X80 Pro was announced in Europe on June 15th, at an event called vivo Xpeditionwhich took place at ZEISS-Großplanetarium in Berlin. Although the Chinese company Vivo, created in 2009 in China, is not very well known in Portugal, and is gaining market share in our country, the brand is in the top positions of the ranking of the brands that sell the most smartphones.

Also noteworthy was the event that the company held in Berlin, to announce the arrival of the equipment in Europe, as it makes a difference and guarantees a fantastic experience for journalists. In practice, the company "passed" the smartphone to our hands, and created a circuit with a set of scenarios for testing and experimenting with cameras and video (yes, the power of the smartphone is in this component). We can already say that the image system developed by Vivo and Zeiss presents superb final contents!

It is also worth remembering that in 2016, Vivo managed to remove Xiaomi from the TOP 5 of the most smartphones sold in China. At the time, the company sold close to 79 million smartphones in the period. But let's go to the powerful, full-bodied and interesting Vivo X80 Pro.

Vivo X80 Pro... what a machine...

Vivo X80 Pro is a smartphone with a minimalist design on the front and which features an "artillery" of cameras on the back with the Zeiss brand highlighted.

The equipment is slightly heavy (219 grams), which is not a weak point, because in hand, we feel that we are dealing with a compact smartphone and built with high-end materials.

In the box there is a slightly rough cover for the back, which guarantees that the equipment does not slide easily and also guarantees its protection.

At the screen level, we are facing a multi-touch capacitive AMOLED panel, and with 6.78 "and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The screen is slightly curved, which guarantees a "depth" experience. It has good colors, fantastic contrast and good resolution. The refresh rate can go up to 120 Hz (the smartphone has a smart way to manage this feature).

According to the specifications, this smartphone has a battery of 4700 mAh which will (easily) last a day. It comes with an 80W charger - Flash Charge, which allows very fast charging (less than 40 min to fully charge). In the equipment we had access to, we were also provided with a charger to carry out wireless charging (Wireless 50 W Flash Charge).

The processor is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, one of the most powerful today. The equipment has 256 GB of storage memory and 12 GB of RAM, components that help in the power of the equipment.

Another highlight is the fingerprint sensor, which is surprisingly fast and is integrated into the screen.

In terms of cameras, Vivo X80 Pro comes with 4 rear and one front. The rear cameras have 50 MP (ultra-sensory, with GNV sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS)), 48 MP (wide angle), 12 MP (gimbal portrait camera), 8 MP (periscopic camera) and the front 32 MP.
