Y10 and Y10 T1: Vivo launches two new entry-level smartphones in Asia

Vivo announced the launch of two new entry-level smartphones for the Chinese market, the Vivo Y10 it’s the Vivo Y10 T1. The two devices are very similar in their general design, with the main differences being the chip used, the type of storage and the Bluetooth version present.

According to the official specifications, both the Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 T1 have a 6.51-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 (HD+) and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The two devices also have 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.

Regarding the differences, the Vivo Y10 comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 chip, storage based on the eMMC 5.1 standard and support for Bluetooth 5.0, and the Vivo Y10 T1 comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio P70 chip, storage based on the UFS 2.1 standard and support for Bluetooth 4.2.

The camera set is exactly the same on both smartphones: an 8MP front camera, a 13MP main rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is located in a drop-shaped notch. The two smartphones also have LED flash.

With the exception of the Bluetooth version, the connectivity options of the Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y10 T1 smartphones are exactly the same and include support for 4G LTE networks, dual SIM chips, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB port. Other features of the new smartphones include fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and more. The operating system is OriginOS based on Android 11.

Prices and availability of Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y10 T1 smartphones

Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y10 T1 smartphones are offered in Glacier Blue and Moonlit Night colors and have the same price in China – 1,099 yuan, which is equivalent to US$173 or R$959 direct conversion based on current conversion. Vivo Y10 T1 is now available in China and Vivo Y10 should be available soon in the country.
